About Samantha
Hi, I’m Samantha Morris, a Well-being at Sea Coach and High Ticket Affiliate Marketer.
I grew up in Manchester, United Kingdom before sailing to success as a Purser in the Maritime Industry at the age of 21. Since 2010, I have been promoted several times starting as a Finance Manager, to Accounts Manager before stepping into the Purser role, working in both the cruise ship and yachting industries.
Over the last 14 years I have travelled the world, experienced many cultures, developed excellent listening and understanding skills, alongside a compassion to help people thrive.
For as long as I can remember I have been a high achiever, always excelling to the top of my class, achieving outstanding grades, advancing myself to the highest position in the workplace and winning competitions for being the best in my job role, all these achievements externally validated my success in life.
My greatest achievement lies in becoming a self-employed Well-being at Sea Coach and Affiliate Marketer.
My Story
In 2021, I resigned from my position as Purser onboard a yacht, due to the decline of my mental and physical health and I returned home to the UK. I found myself lost, broken, scared of the world and my own shadow. I felt fearful and frightened of everything and everyone around me. I didn’t leave the house without company scared of what might happen to me if I did.
In 2010 …
13 years ago … at the age of 21, I jumped on a plane to the other side of the world to join my first vessel. I was ecstatic, excited, happy, optimistic, brave, and full of positivity for the new adventure that was waiting for me when I arrived.
but 12 years later … at 33 years old, I had lost all my confidence and independence. I was feeling sad, disappointed, disrespected, ashamed, doubtful, heartbroken, fragile, defensive, vulnerable, nervous, empty, distressed, and worthless.
Because …
When onboard at sea, I had been working with disempowering leadership, which contributed to working long hours, not taking regular breaks even to go to the bathroom or to eat meals, I was sleep deprived and drinking excessively, using this as a method to relief stress. I was exhausted, mentally fatigued, and drained. All my spare time was used to sleep as I could not retain my energy and I felt depressed.
To top this all off I was at sea, isolated during the pandemic!
My job role had blown out of proportion due to travel arrangements that used to be A to B journeys becoming A, B, C, D, E and F journeys to fly the crew to and from the yacht and planning of PCR tests when every country had different regulations around testing.
Travel restrictions meant it was impossible to send crew home on vacation and bring them back to the boat. I wanted to save the crew and help them to return home after being stuck onboard for
many months. I felt like superwoman, pushing myself to do more and more helping others at the detriment to myself.
I abandoned my self-care and failed to implement boundaries.
I started to become both mentally and physically unwell, stressed, overwhelmed, and fatigued. I was suffering with burnout, anxiety and panic attacks, PTSD, and fight/ flight freeze response.
Between putting others above, myself and the narcissistic leadership onboard it all became too much and was falling into a mental breakdown.
As a result of this ….
I was suffering from pain in my lower left side of the stomach, bloated ness, and extreme back pain where I was unable to sit down for long periods of time.
I was prescribed diazepam to enable me to relax, sleep and to treat what I now know as “anxiety” and I believed that resignation was my only way out.
When I returned home, I felt abandoned, neglected, misunderstood, worried, fearful, anxious, and distressed.
I wanted to go on to anti-depressants until a friend suggested a natural alternative with essential oil therapy, and she told me to look into life coaching too.

Coaching changed my life.
I was able to appreciate my own resourcefulness, gain clarity, identify my values and beliefs, and change my behaviours to implement action and not reaction. I was given tools and techniques to help manage my overthinking and anxiety. I was able to put my tasks in order of importance and to understand myself on a deeper level so I could work towards my goals.
I also booked a consultation with a doTERRA wellness advocate who advised me on a blend of 4 essential oils. The essential oils had assisted me in healing myself from back pain, mental fatigue, and anxiousness.
Coaching and essential oil therapy is a wonderful combination, our sense of smell is the fastest way to change our emotions by bringing our attention back to our breathe and to alter our state.
Essential oils have walked hand in hand with me on my healing journey, helping me to combat my negative emotions and to relinquish feelings of stress, anxiousness and being overwhelmed.
